Adobe GoLive CS is an increasingly popular tool in professional web development. It can be used for everything from creating simple home pages to managing large scale data driven web sites. It integrates extremely well with the other Adobe CS products and respects all the latest Internet standards. Nevertheless there are times when a knowledge of HTML - the page layout language behind web pages - is indispensable for creating the perfect design. For this you'll need to go behind the scenes of your web pages and edit/add HTML code by hand.
In this course we create web pages then look at the code Adobe GoLive CS creates to get a feel for how web pages are actually structured. We then examine how modifying this code changes the layout of your web pages and learn how to use HTML's more common tags for creating additional elements on a web page.
Additional elements in this course include site management, entering text and graphic elements, structuring pages using tables, using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and other key features of web design.
By the end of this course for beginners, you’ll be able to build a visually attractive web-site from scratch and have it up and running a remote web server. You'll also have a good understanding of the basics of HTML coding (including style sheets) and how to integrate this knowledge into the work you do with GoLive CS. Recommendations for further study will also be given during the course for those wishing to deepen their knowledge of HTML, CSS and other web coding languages.
