InDesign Logo and print course participants

This 1-day Introduction course will enhance your existing knowledge of Adobe InDesign CC by focusing on print production. Together, we will discuss some of the less well-known features of the program, and you will gain an understanding of the concepts behind the production of consistent, professional output for print.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Handle transparencies, layering, and flattening
  • Understand why, when, and how to use the Preflight panel
  • Package files for hand-off to a print provider
  • Configure presets and export PDF files

Specialist courses require specialist trainers: your instructor for the day will be an Adobe Acrobat and InDesign Certified Instructor and a current member of the Ghent PDF Workgroup.

Our goal is to help you understand and implement the techniques necessary to improve the quality and consistency of your print output.

This course is intended for graphic designers, creative professionals, print professionals, publishers, pre-press professionals, and marketing communications professionals.

You will need basic PC or Mac skills, including a solid understanding of a computer's operating system (Windows or Mac OS). You will also need to know how to launch a program, create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media.

Helen Seddon, ENEHL, InDesign - 2 Day Introduction

Thanks for a very pleasant and educational 2 days. I think it was especially good because it was a small class which gave very individual training.

Nigel Hopwood, Jacob Jensen Design, InDesign - 2 Day Advanced

Brilliant two days. I was sceptical about how much we would learn in two days but now feel like I am definitely ready and eager to use InDesign on my own. The facilities were great and the class size perfect and it is brilliant that we receive a book to help us through post-course use of the software. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Emma Bedford, Wem Town Hall Trust, InDesign - Two Day Introduction

Our tutor was very knowledgeable and very patient whilst training. He answered all questions no matter how small. Not only did he show us the Adobe way but also faster shortcuts to ensure workflow on the system is better. I would recommend this training to anyone remotely interested in print or digital design.

Marie Kinvig, Heron & Brearley, InDesign - 2 Day Advanced

I was very happy with the way the course was ran and felt everything I wanted to learn was covered. Our tutor was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to a colleague or friend.

Jade Barnes, ANS Group, Adobe InDesign - Two Day Introduction

Excellent course, excellent trainer. Learnt so much. We covered lots of things I had tried to do before with much difficulty. The training made things simple, I will be much more efficient now!

Laura Millar, FCA, Adobe InDesign - Two Day Introduction

We had an excellent instructor for the InDesign course - as someone who had no prior knowledge, he explained everything thoroughly and enthusiastically. I will definitely be back if my training requirements change!

Francesca D’Alessio, Rider Levett Bucknall, Adobe InDesign - Two Day Introduction

An outstanding training course led by a very knowledgeable and insightful tutor. Thoroughly enjoyed my time and will take forward all new knowledge to my workplace and personal life too. Really enjoyed this, thanks very much!

Emma McLean, University of Strathclyde, Adobe InDesign - Two Day Introduction

Brilliant two days of training which allowed me to be confident in my own self taught/on the job knowledge, efficient working methods and hints and tips. Thank you.
